I wrote this for my Mom's Birthday :)

Super Mom

For nine months, you took care of me inside of your womb,

You want me to be healthy, you want me to bloom.

For nine months, I was just a part of you,

Little by little, inside of you, I grew.

I saw a bright light when I first opened my eyes.

The world looked so beautiful and nice.

Then, I saw a brighter one in a while,

But I knew it was only your wonderful smile.

Then I started walking, I started talking.

I also learned to dance and sing.

Through these years you’ve been my guiding light,

You never keep me out of your sight.

And now, I’m already a lady.

You made my life not a misery or heavy.

Even though I’m old enough to take care of myself,

Everything I do, to me, you’re always a big help.

Life was never easy for us.

It’s complicated and was never just.

We fell in darkness many times before.

But slowly, we stand, and now we soar.

Through those times, you were tough.

You’re still smiling and even tried to laugh.

You showed us that nothing is too hard.

If we’re together, we’ll go through anything and we’ll move forward.

I know I never was a perfect daughter.

I often give you problems and I always bother.

I may not be very vocal in saying,

But, I love you with my heart singing.

Today, God has blessed you with another year,

You’re getting older yet stronger ever day, my dear.

 And now, there’s just one thing I gotta say,

I wish you a Happy Birthday on this very day!

Little Big Sister

I wrote this for my friend's birthday :)

Little Big Sister

We kept on thinking for a gift,

But unfortunately, our necks just stiffed.

Until we sat and thought of you,

Then memories just filled out through.

You are our big Ate when we cry,

Yet our little sister in terms of height.

But don’t get offended too hard,

Because you occupy a big space in our heart.

You’re always there to face our fears,

Always there to wipe our tears.

What else could we ask for?

When Hera Espinosa is there who’s willing to give more.

We laugh at our funniest stolen pictures,

And cheer each other up in terms of failures.

We know that it wasn’t that long since we’ve met,

But you filled our hearts with memories we’ll never forget.

We know that we never were never perfect friends.

We do not always lend to you our hands.

Believe us, we do it for the better,

We want you to stand up on your own and be stronger.

Today has finally arrived.

Another year to celebrate your given life.

Remember that we love you and we’ll always do.
